Centrum Air, Uzbekistan’s largest private air carrier and part of the international logistics and transportation group Centrum Holding, has signed a multi-year component pool agreement with Turkish Technic, one of the world’s leading aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) providers, for its Airbus A320 fleet.
This agreement represents the beginning of a strategic collaboration between Centrum Air and Turkish Technic marking the first partnership Turkish Technic has formed with an airline based in Uzbekistan.
Under the agreement, Centrum Air will benefit from Turkish Technic's extensive component inventory, enabling the carrier to maintain operations seamlessly through the MRO's fast and comprehensive parts supply services.
Regarding this new partnership, Mikail Akbulut, CEO and Board Member of Turkish Technic, said: ‘‘We are delighted to welcome one of the largest air carriers in Central Asia to our expanding customer network. Representatives of Pakistan's largest travel agencies, led by chairmen and chief executives of the country's leading companies, visited the Centrum Air office in Tashkent to discuss prospects for cooperation and increasing tourist flow from Pakistan to Uzbekistan.The Pakistani delegation was headed by the Chairman of the KPK Tourism Agencies Association, Mr. Abid Ud Din. During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of Centrum Air's route network, convenient connecting flights via Tashkent, and opportunities to further strengthen tourism ties between the two countries.Particular attention was paid to the growing interest of Pakistani citizens in Uzbekistan – one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the region, known for its rich cultural heritage, historic cities and traditional hospitality. The parties also explored the development of specific tourism segments, including women's group tours, religious tourism, family trips and cultural and educational travel.Centrum Air has been operating regular flights on the Tashkent – Lahore – Tashkent route since April 21, 2026.
