Almaty International Airport (ALA) is one of the fastest-growing aviation hubs in Central Asia:
Two passenger terminals: T1 serves domestic flights, while T2 handles international routes; International terminal area: over 53,500 m²; Nearly 12 million passengers served in 2025; Distance from Almaty city center: approximately 15 km. In 2025, the airport announced a large-scale 25-year Master Plan: The first phase, Horizon, began in 2025 and will continue until the end of 2028; More than 130 projects are planned, with total investments of $362 million. Almaty Airport connects cities and countries: 44 passenger airlines; 82 destinations, including 63 international; 29 countries. *Data for 2025 The international terminal features: Over 50 check-in counters; Full accessibility for passengers with reduced mobility; Free Wi-Fi; Facilities including a children’s area, quiet zone, mother and child room, prayer rooms, capsule hotel, pet area, and duty-free shops; VIP/CIP lounges and the Extime business lounge. We also operate flights to other cities in Kazakhstan: Astana, Uralsk and Aktau. The international terminal is designed in a national style to introduce visitors to the country’s culture. A piano is installed in the airport and is available for any passenger to play. The airport regularly hosts events, performances and treats for passengers. Almaty International Airport is part of TAV Airports, which owns and operates 15 airports across Turkey, Georgia, Saudi Arabia and other countries.
